2012 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas was a great opportunity to get a sense of where the industry is going and get inspired.
CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW is a good way to launch yourself into a new year. Held at the start of January, it generates enough creative craziness to last the entire year for many industry insiders. It was no different this year in Las Vegas when CES 2012 opened its doors to waves and waves of visitors. Excitement was running high yet it would be hard to find the single most important message CES 2012 has sent to the world.

NO ONE GOES to CES to be handed the key to success on a silver plate. It is more to see innovative solutions that may one day become or lead to the next big thing in the industry. To stay connected and get inspired. As a website development company, we have this desire to closely follow trends that can help build a competitive advantage for our clients in our blood. Pushing out of the comfort zone, which is what so many CES exhibitors are doing, is part of our core identity as web designers and developers.

FROM BIG BOYS in the industry, like Steve Ballmer of Microsoft, who was among a selection of innovation leaders giving keynote speeches, to early stage innovators coming up with exciting new apps and gadgets, Las Vegas was just buzzing with ideas and chatter. Apple's absence as an exhibitor yet strong presence as a gadget producer of choice (with ever-present iPads and iPhones) became the running joke of CES 2012.

ONE OF OUR PICKS picks was ION Audio, a company developing technology that integrates different experiences of music, like vinyl turntable and USB, and creates solutions to make learning how to play instruments more fun (see the photo with the guitarist).
WHAT WE FOUND most inspiring was getting a shot at quizzing developers and executives. We brought back plenty of food for thought, not just about what we saw in Vegas. Also about our own products. And it is so important for us as we enter a new stage in our company's evolution that focuses on web design innovation, getting ahead of the pack. Part of this new direction for NetroStar will be the release of a game-changing CMS (based on a patent-pending technology).
